Unter diesem Titel hat Franz Gross in einem Editorial bereits vor fast zwanzig Jahren die Chancen, neue Antihypertensiva zu finden, als sehr gering eingeschätzt, vor allem deswegen, weil „wir (damals) schon genug haben“ Den damaligen Therapiestandard hat er als „sehr hoch“ eingestuft und nichts wesentlich Neues am Horizont der Forschung gesehen.
