Abstract
Among scientists and mathematicians spreadsheets are still not fully appreciated. Too many scientists think that spreadsheets are essentially an accountant’s tool. Therefore, in this chapter we will try to show how spreadsheets can be used as powerful tools for mathematical modeling. We will also show certain techniques for using graphical user interface elements which are relatively unknown but extremely helpful when dealing with mathematical models.
