Abstract
We discuss the problem of generating a schedule by a team in a corporate environment. It is assumed that each team member is responsible for a partial schedule but has to share common resources. We propose the concept of a group scheduling support system consisting of an individual workbench for the interactive work, a communication component and a negotiation subsystem. A prototype implementation called GS3 under Windows for Workgroups for a PC-LAN is discussed. The communication and coordination kernel of GS3 can be integrated into existing corporate planning environments.
