ALLFIWIB: Customer Consulting in Financial Services with Distributed Knowledge Based Systems

  • Chapter
Distributed Information Systems in Business

Abstract

This paper’s objective is to show that Distributed Artificial Intelligence offers methods well suited to provide support to the process of customer consulting in financial services. Firstly, the demands made upon this type of advisory support system will be highlighted. Then, the design and realization of a distributed problem-solving system will be described. Some of the results have already been published.166 New developments are the inclusion of distributed solving of asset allocation problems under risk (cf. section 2) and the expansion of the system to incorporate a formerly stand-alone system acting as a problem-solving agent to provide support for buy-or-lease decision-making (section 3).
