Abstract

This article presents an overview of the research results of the project CUVIMA. This inter-disciplinary project combined aspects of the research areas “information management”, “computer aided team”, “conversation structuring” and “object-orientation”. CUVIMA identified “information systems planning” and “business process planning” as representatives of highly interesting, quite complex and exceptional distributed information management tasks. These tasks are not only suitable for implementing computer support in a computer aided team environment, but also allow the use of computer-based conversation structuring for a more efficient problem solving process within groups. Object-orientation was used for the analysis phase and as the implementation method.
