Zusammenfassung
Die nach Magenresektion oder Gastrektomie feststellbaren Knochenveränderungen können als Osteomalazie, als Osteoporose oder als eine Kombination aus beidem auftreten [1]. Dabei kommt es zu einer Abnahme der Knochenmasse und zu einer Zunahme des Frakturrisikos [2]. Eine verminderte Knochendichte konnte bei über 50% [3], eine Wirbelkörperfraktur bei 19% der Patienten festgestellt werden, wobei Knochendichte und Frakturrate signifikant miteinander korreliert waren [2]. Als mögliche Ursachen der Knochenveränderungen nach Gastrektomie werden eine Störung des Kalzium- und Vitamin D-Stoffwechsels angenommen [1, 2, 4, 5], zusätzliche Risikofaktoren wie ein reduzierter Body Mass Index oder Nikotin kön nen eine Rolle spielen [2]. Anhand einer tierexperimentellen und einer klinischen Studie sollte die Regulation des Kalzium- und Knochenstoffwechsels nach Gastrektomie untersucht werden.
