Zusammenfassung

Gemeint ist eine Erkrankung, bei der in jedem Lebensalter und ohne Geschlechtsprävalenz eine inkomplette oder komplette, ein- oder doppelseitige periphere Parese des N. facialis einmalig oder rezidivierend „plötzlich“ auftritt, wobei sich die Diagnose durch den Ausschluß der in Tabelle 1 genannten Ursachen ergibt.
