Zusammenfassung
Die Lendenwirbelsäule, die Beckenknochen und das Zwerchfell sind die augenfälligen Bauchwandstrukturen in Übersichtsaufnahmen. Nach den Fettbegleitsäumen der Nieren und der lateralen Psoasränder sowie den in beiden Flanken zum Hypogastrium ziehenden präperitonealen Fettbegleitsäumen muß dagegen häufig gesucht werden; die Deformierung oder Auslöschung dieser Säume kann bei raumfordernden und entzündlichen Prozessen diagnostisch wegweisend sein. Hierbei muß berücksichtigt werden, daß die Flankenlinien, die der lateralen Begrenzung der Bauchhöhle entsprechen, aufgrund des geringen Fettgehaltes der Bauchwand in den ersten Lebensmonaten häufig fehlen, und daß die retroperitonealen Fettbegleitsäume sich meist erst im Grundschulalter darstellen [12]. Nabelschnurreste, Nabelhernien und andere oberflächliche Raumforderungen können schattengebend sein, während Lipome Aufhellungen hervorrufen können; Unklarheiten sind in diesen Fällen leicht durch Inspektion des Patienten oder durch Palpation auszuräumen.
