Abstract

Technology education is pointed towards the ability of designing according to the variability of technological present and the conception of the future. A condition for the designing of technology is the shaping of development thinking. Development thinking is one from the level of technology as well as from the anticipation of a vision a feed-back thinking for the development of:

  • more effective

  • more pollution-free and

  • more human

technical artifacts. Development thinking does not only presuppose the knowledge about strategies and methods but also the knowledge about heuristically used principles which lead to the more concrete technical solution. Therefore a development understanding in technology education can be marked in connection with the ways of action and laws of evolution for the determination of goals and the principles of problem solving.
