Zusammenfassung
Wachsende Anforderungen an die Wirtschaftlichkeit, den Umweltschutz sowie die Sicherheit und mimimalen Rohstoffeinsatz in der chemischen Industrie führen dazu, daß die Computersimulation das Hilfsmittel für den Entwurf, die Auslegung und den Betrieb verfahrenstechnischer Anlagen wie Raffinerien, petrochemischer und biotechnologischer Prozesse oder Luftzerleger ist. Die wesentlichen Bestandteile dieser Prozesse sind Stoffumwandlung durch chemische Reaktion und Trennung von Stoffgemischen mit dem Ziel, die Produkte in der geforderten Reinheit herzustellen. Darüber gewinnt die Meß- und Regeltechnik zur Überwachung und Automatisierung der Anlagen ständig an Bedeutung.
