Linear α-chain states in nuclei

Abstract

We present results for the energies of the linear α-chain states in several light nuclei, 12C,16O, 20Ne and 24Mg, using the Skyrme Hartree-Fock method. We discuss mainly the SKM* results but other interactions are also considered for comparison.
