Abstract

We present a summary about the situation of Portuguese industry and economy as well as their consequences in the environment.

Next we draw a general view of the legislation evolution referring to the Environment and its connection whit industrial policy that exists in Portugal.

Finally, we describe some works developed in the area of pollution minimization.
