Zusammenfassung
Nach größeren operativen Eingriffen wird häufig eine Suppression des Immunsystems beobachtet, erkennbar an einem gehäuften Auftreten von lokalen Wundheilungsstörungen oder pulmonalen Infekten. Wie frühere Studien gezeigt haben, ist diese Infektanfälligkeit zum Teil auf eine verminderte Funktion von Makrophagen zurückzuführen. So wurde nach hämorrhagischem Schock eine reduzierte Expression von MHC-Klasse II Antigenen sowie eine verminderte Interleukin 1 Bildung von Makrophagen beschrieben [1, 2]. Hieraus resultiert eine ebenfalls verminderte „Antigen-Präsentation“ von Makrophagen [1], welche für die Induktion der Immunabwehrmechanismen wichtig ist.
