Zusammenfassung
Die Indikation zur operativen Implantation dauerhafter, zentralvenöser Kathetersysteme wird in der Pädiatrie immer öfter gestellt und betrifft alle Altersgruppen. Waren es am Anfang vor allem onkologische Patienten und Kinder mit totaler parenteraler Ernährung, so erhalten heute auch solche Patienten ein entsprechendes System, die z.B. mit Erkrankungen des Gerinnungs- oder Immunsystems regelmäßig parenteral substituiert werden müssen.
