Zusammenfassung
An der Meeresküste wird unser Bedürfnis nach Konstanz und Ewigkeit von selbstverursachter Beschleunigung des globalen Naturwandels unterminiert. Der klimatisch bedingte Meeresspiegelanstieg bewirkt an flachen Küsten eine zunehmende Diskrepanz zwischen künstlich fixierter Uferlinie und natürlicher Ausgleichsdynamik. Verloren geht dadurch ein Naturraum mit wechselseitiger Durchdringung von Land und Meer. Das Zusammenwirken von moderner Küstenarchitektonik mit landseitigem Eintrag von Nähr- und Schadstoffen, flußseitiger und seeseitiger Dezimierung von Fischpopulationen sowie der Einschleppung überseeischer Organismenarten hat die Lebensgemeinschaften vieler Küsten nachhaltig verändert. Um diesen vielseitigen Beeinträchtigungen von Naturentwicklungen zu begegnen, sind weiträumige Reservate in Küstenregionen anzustreben, die vom Seegebiet im Küstenvorfeld über Flüsse bis ins Binnenland reichen.
