“Dauerhafte Entwicklung ist Entwicklung, die die Bedürfnisse der Gegenwart befriedigt, ohne zu riskieren, daß künftige Generationen ihre eigenen Bedürfnisse nicht befriedigen können” (BRUNDTLAND-Bericht 1987, S.6). Sustainability ist “in” - und fast jeder, der sich, an der entwicklungspolitischen Diskussion beteiligt wird sich dieses Begriffes bedienen.
