Abstract
This has been an excellent symposium, and the presence of such a large audience is very encouraging. The presentations of the four speakers complemented and reinforced each other, as I hoped and expected that they would. However, before drawing attention to what I consider to be some of the most important points put to us, I want to make two further scene-setting comments.
