Summary

In this paper we show that a more complete formulation of the motion of Newtonian Fluids leads to very new field properties of laminar and turbulent flows. The Navier Stokes equation is completed by the balance of mechanical energy and by fundamental laws of thermodynamics of non-equilibrium. A new detailed review of some terms of the Navier Stokes Equation on the base of these principles leads to some new surprising field properties. For example the kinetic energy, the pressure and the acceleration terms turn out to be potential fields. These results are surprising because they hold for general laminar as well as for general turbulent motions in temporal mean.
