The usefulness of MR angiography for the long-term follow-up of intracranial arteriovenous malformations

Abstract

We reviewed the MR angiographic studies of 13 patients with intracranial arteriovenous malformations. In those patients treated by transarterial embolisation of the gamma knife, demonstration of the vessels on MR angiography was found to be improved by the use of intravenous gadolinium contrast medium.
