Zusammenfassung
In diesem Abschnitt werden die Grundzüge energieumwandelnder Prozesse bei der Belichtung von Halbleitern dargestellt. Das Charakteristische von Photo- elektrokatalyse, -elektrosynthese und photovoltaische Energieumwandlung wird veranschaulicht, wodurch ein Vergleich der Vorgänge ermöglicht werden soll, der auch die Unterschiede deutlich werden läßt. Das gemeinsame Prinzip Energieumwandlung, basierend auf der Erzeugung gleichrichtender Halbleiterkontakte, wird sowohl für die photoelektrochemischen als auch für die -voltaischen Punktionsweisen beschrieben. Die katalytische und synthetische Erzeugung von Brennstoffen wird im Rahmen dieses Buches, das die photovoltaische Energieumwandlung zum Thema hat, nicht weiter behandelt.
