Zusammenfassung

Die Auswahlkriterien von Patienten zur Nierentransplantation haben sich in den letzten Jahren ständig geändert. Die Indikationen und vor allem die Altersgrenzen sind zunehmend erweitert worden. Durch die besseren Resultate der Nieren-transplantation seit Einführung des Ciclosporins werden heute zunehmend ältere und auch diabetische Patienten auf die Warteliste genommen (1, 13). Die Indikationen zur Dialyse haben sich ebenfalls parallel dazu erweitert. Anders als bei anderen Organverpflanzungen kann bei nicht erfolgreicher Nierentransplantation ein Patient immer wieder an die Dialyse genommen werden.
