Zusammenfassung
Die Resultate der Nierentransplantation haben sich in den letzten Jahren erheblich verbessert. Transplantatverlust und Mortalität haben sich durch Optimierung der immunsuppressiven Behandlung, vor allem seit Einführung von Ciclosporin, stetig vermindert. Eine signifikante Reduktion der Morbidität wurde aber auch durch verbesserte chirurgische Technik und durch frühes Erkennen und Behandeln von chirurgischen Problemen erzielt.
