Abstract

Due to the fact that wounds are of very different etiology, pathogenesis, and time course, there is no uniform therapeutic regimen. Surgical wounds heal by primary intention and require no therapy at all, besides the dressing. On the other hand, topical treatment is of major importance by secondary for wound healing.
