Abstract

Fibrin sealing has become an accepted tool in many fields of surgery. In many areas fibrin sealing has superseded conventional surgical techniques, increased postoperative safety, and even made possible new therapeutic approaches. In the light of endoscopic surgery fibrin glue has a certain place in the therapy of interstitial fistulas, ulcera, and bleedings. I am sure that fibrin glue in operative gynecological endoscopy will also be of increasing interest for the following indications: for wound closure, as a substitute for conventional sutures; to achieve hemostasis and control bleeding; and for prophylaxis of adhesions. In the present paper I report our experience with fibrin glue in endoscopic myomectomy, tubal anastomosis, and the endoscopic construction of neovagina.
