Zusammenfassung

Die chronische UV-Exposition hat wesentliche Aus wirkungen auf Epidermis und Dermis. Während die UVB-Exposition hauptsächlich zu epithelialen Tu moren führt, ist die UVA-Strahlung, aber auch Teile der UVB-Strahlung für die sogenannte Photoalterung der Dermis verantwortlich. Obwohl diese extrinsische Alterung durch den intrinsischen Alterungsprozeß überlagert wird, lassen sich beide jedoch gegeneinander abgrenzen (Tabelle 1). Dabei werden sowohl einzelne Zelltypen als auch Struktur proteine der Dermis verändert. Wahrscheinlich kommt es darüber hinaus zu komplexen Störungen, die Zell-Zell-Interaktionen involvieren.
