Abstract
The degree of success in any technology employing plant cell, tissue, or organ culture is related to relatively few factors. A significant factor is the choice of nutritional components and growth regulators. In the past two to three decades a large number of reports have appeared on modifications of about two dozen basic media compositions (Street and Shillito 1977; Pierik 1987; Torres 1989).
