Zusammenfassung
Die Komplikationsrate in der Dickdarmchirurgie ist auch heute noch hoch. Sie schwankt literaturabhängig und erreicht Werte bis zu 30%. Diese Tatsache hat zu vielen Anstrengungen geführt, die postoperative Komplikationsrate zu senken. So wurde in den 80er Jahren mit dem Valtrac-Ring ein neues Verfahren in die Viszeralchirurgie eingeführt, dessen Funktion auf einem neuartigen Prinzip beruht: Durch Kompression des Valtrac-Ringes, über dessen Halbringe das proximale und das distale Anastomosenende gestülpt sind, rastet ein Arretierungsmechanismus ein; es entsteht so eine invertierte Kompressionsanastomose mit allseitigem Serosakontakt.
