Abstract
Apart from the standard methods in biomedical cancer therapy, such as surgery if possible, followed by X-ray radiation treatment and chemotherapy repeated at intervals, the question arises what else could be done. This question is especially topical in face of the facts, that although there have been improvements in early detection and developments in the three classical methods of tumor treatment and the probability of cure has been significantly increased, as in case of breast cancer, cancer of the intestines, leukemia, certain types of skin cancer, etc., the overall five-year survival rate of all cancer patients has improved by less than ten percent in the last thirty years. The main reason for this is, that the most frequent and dangereous tumors develop mostly inside the body at places where they cannot be easily operated, as it is the case for e.g. brain-, lung-, liver-, stomach-, lymphoma-, pancreas tumors, etc..
