Die Ausweitung der Analyse der Stabilisierungspolitik von der geschlossenen auf die offene Volkswirtschaft rückt drei Fragen in den Mittelpunkt:

  • Inwieweit beeinflußt der internationale Güter- und Kapitalverkehr die Effizienz der Finanz- und Geldpolitik als Instrumente der Nachfragesteuerung?

  • Auf welchen Wegen und wie stark wirken sich externe Störungen (Inflation, Konjunktur- und Zinsschwankungen des Auslands sowie sprunghafte Entwicklungen der Weltrohstoffpreise) auf die inländische Volkswirtschaft aus?

  • Inwieweit wird der Handlungsspielraum der nationalen Stabilisierungspolitik durch die internationale Wirtschaftsentwicklung eingeschränkt?
