Zusammenfassung

Die Applikation intravenöser oder oraler Kontrastmittel gewinnt in der MRI zunehmende Bedeutung. In der Zwischenzeit ist eine Reihe unterschiedlicher Verbindungen in Erprobung, zum Teil bereits im klinischen Einsatz. Weitergehende Erfahrungen liegen vor allem mit Gadolinium-DTPA vor, weshalb sich die nachfolgenden Ausführungen auf diese Verbindung beschränken.
