Abstract

During the last few years the financial markets in many countries have exhibited several scandals ranging from insider trading to breach of trust committed by e.g. managing directors on the stockholders. In Sweden there are at the moment one very well media covered trial regarding breach of trust and several investigations on suspected insider trading. One expression of the changes in public opinion in Sweden is the new insider legislation, enacted about a year ago, which is far more comprehensive than the old legislation.
