Petroleum Exploration in the French Rhine Graben
The French Rhine Graben (or Alsacian Trough) is part of the West European Rift System stretching from Ger many to the Mediterranean Sea. The Rhine Graben, a Tertiary structure, is framed by two Hercynian massifs, i. e., the Schwarzwald and Vosges uplifts.
