Zusammenfassung
Der Titel meines Referates enthält eine Unterstellung und eine Frage. Auf beides werde ich zum Schluß meiner Ausführungen zurückkommen, denn zunächst möchte ich Sie mit der, aus der Sicht des Biologen, faszinierenden Welt der Malaria etwas vertrauter machen, Ihnen die Problematik dieser großen Krankheit nahebringen und Ihnen einige neuere Ansätze vorstellen, mit denen man hoffen kann, zu einem Impfstoff gegen die „Königin der Tropenkrankheiten“ zu gelangen.
