Zusammenfassung

Auf der Grundlage der 1992 durch die American Heart Association (AHA) [4] und European Resuscitation Council (ERC) [6] veröffentlichten Richtlinien zur kardiopulmonalen Reanimation werden die aktuell gültigen Empfehlungen zur Wiederbelebung und deren wissenschaftliche Grundlagen dargelegt. Wichtige neue Reanimationstechniken und medikamentöse Maßnahmen, die noch keinen Eingang in die aktuellen Richtlinien gefunden haben, werden zusätzlich vorgestellt.
