Abstract

The poor prognosis of patients with soft tissue sarcomas (STS) must be ascribed both to the tendency of these malignant lesions to invade aggressively at their site of primary origin and to their early hematogeneous dissemination (Cantin et al. 1968; Lawrence et al. 1987).
