3-D-Bildverarbeitung in der Osteologie

Zusammenfassung

Die klassischen bildgebenden Verfahren in der Medizin haben die Einschränkung, daß sie nur ein zweidimensionales Abbild der eigentlich dreidimensionalen Wirklichkeit erzeugen. Ein konventionelles Röntgenbild zeigt eine Überlagerung aller abgebildeten Strukturen. Schnittbilder aus der Computer-Tomographie (CT) oder der Magnetresonanz-Tomographie (MR) sind zwar weitgehend überlagerungsfrei, zeigen aber jeweils nur eine Schicht des zu untersuchenden Objekts. Ähnlich ist die Situation in der Mikroskopie, wo sich eine überlagerungsfreie Darstellung ebenfalls nur für planare Schichten erreichen läßt.
