Abstract

The question “Do taxes have a disincentive influence or not?” is connected with the shape of the curve giving the supply of working time dependent on the wage rate. In fact, no type of reaction to taxes can be excluded without specifying the individual preferences toward leisure time and income. Under a realistic assumption different types of taxation can be compared.
