Abstract

Summarizing the results of the study of the physical properties and mechanisms of the superconductivity in oxide superconductors, we still cannot answer the principal question: what is the nature of their superconducting state; without this we are unable to answer another question of practical importance — whether it is possible to obtain compounds with even higher T c of the order of room temperature. To answer these questions, many experimental investigations have to be carried out in order to clarify the problems mentioned in the previous chapters. A quick solution of these problems is hardly possible due to the complicated physical and chemical structure of the oxide materials. We recall that it took over 46 years to develop a microscopic theory of superconductivity from the discovery of this phenomenon in 1911.
