Zusammenfassung
Sprachregelung oder unwiderlegbares Wissen? Hochfrequenzbeatmung soll kein Gewinn für intensivmedizinisch betreute erwachsene Patienten sein [9, 23]. Es war unsere Aufgabe der letzten 5 Jahre, dieses Urteil der Kliniker zu überprüfen. Dazu mußten methodische Unzulänglichkeiten aufgeklärt und konzeptionelle Defizite aufzufüllen versucht werder. Insbesondere mußte ausgeschlossen werden, daß es geometrisch-anatomische Grenzen für die Anwendung der Hochfrequenzoszillation gibt [18, 20]. Ein sicherer Anwendungsmodus mußte erarbeitet werden. Schließlich mußten Vorstellungen zur Konfiguration eines zu entwickelnden Erwachsenenoszillators ausgearbeitet werden. Für den Kliniker rangieren an erster Stelle Aussagen zur zukünftigen Verwendung der verschiedenen Methoden der Hochfrequenzbeatmung.
