Zusammenfassung

Eine normale Nierenfunktion ist für die Elimination toxischer Substanzen und zur Aufrechterhaltung der Flüssigkeits- und Elektrolythomöostase unabdingbar. Auch heute noch stellt das akute Nierenversagen (ANV) im Rahmen herzchirurgischer Eingriffe und in der Traumatologie eine schwerwiegende Komplikation dar. Die Inzidenz des ANV hat sich zwar seit 20 Jahren deutlich vermindert, die Mortalität der Patienten mit akuter renaler Insuffizienz konnte aber nicht wesentlich vermindert werden [22]. Pathophysiologie, Therapie und Prävention der akuten renalen Insuffizienz haben daher auch heute noch große Aktualität.
