Zusammenfassung

Unter dem Begriff „zirkadianes System“ faßt man alle biologischen Funktionen zusammen, die tagesrhythmische Schwankungen aufweisen. Für die geregelten Veränderungen der Körperfunktionen werden endogene Faktoren verantwortlich gemacht, die jedoch im normalen Alltag von exogenen Faktoren (Zeitgebern) beeinflußt werden (Wever 1979). Das tagesrhythmische Verhalten der Körperfunktionen ist eine wesentliche Voraussetzung für die psychische und physische Leistungsfähigkeit des Organismus (Hildebrandt 1976).
