Zusammenfassung
Das Ösophaguskarzinom gehört zu den bösartigsten Malignomen des Gastrointestinaltraktes. Die Entstehungsgeschichte dieses Karzinoms bedingt, daß viele Patienten für einen ausgedehnten Eingriff beträchtliche Risikofaktoren aufweisen. Das typische chirurgische Vorgehen besteht in einer kombinierten Operation: Entfernung der Speiseröhre und der regionalen Lymphknoten über eine Thorakotomie, Vorbereitung des Magens für den Hochzug über eine ausgedehnte Laparotomie und eine abschließende kollare Anastomosierung.
