Abstract
Helicobacter pylori serology is now readily available as a result of the development of sero-diagnostic commercial kits. Since adult sera and most frequently tested, it seemed useful to have standards with which to understand adult serogic results. At the meeting of the European Helicobacter Study Group in Toledo, Spain, in 1990, it was suggested that it would be useful to coordinate efforts for standardisation of H. pylori serology and to have a cooperative study including those who were involved in antigen production, and the commercial companies.
