Zusammenfassung
Ein gleichzeitiges Auftreten von gut- und bösartigen Schilddrüsenerkrankungen ist bekannt. Diese sind bei der physikalischen Untersuchung nur selten eindeutig abzuklärbar, insbesondere in den Fällen, wo das Karzinom in einer größeren, benignen Struma versteckt bleibt. Im Isotopenszintigramm stellt sich das Karzinom als kalter Knoten dar, jedoch ist mehr als die Hälfte der benignen Knoten auch kalt [34]. Eine Aspirationsbiopsie ergibt ebenfalls häufig einen falsch negativen Befund, zumeist dann, wenn gut- und bösartige Knoten gleichzeitig vorhanden sind [7, 14, 17]. Daher ist besonders wichtig die Wahrscheinlichkeit eines gemeinsamen Auftretens prognostizieren zu können. Darüber hinaus bleibt immer noch latent die spannende Frage: Handelt es sich hier lediglich um ein gemeinsames Vorkommen oder um einem ursächlichen Zusammenhang?
