Zusammenfassung

In den meisten europäischen Ländern gelten die Schilddrüsenkarzinome als seltene Tumoren, ihre Jahresinzidenz beträgt 0,002–0,003% [23]. Viel häufiger kommen vor die klinisch latenten oder okkulte SD-Karzinome, die oft nur als Zufallsbefund in den Präparaten Kropfoperierter oder bei der Obduktion entdeckt werden. Die Häufigkeit okkulter SD-Karzinome in den Autopsiepräparaten liegt bei 0,5 bis 35% je nach der Technik der Aufarbeitung und den epidemiologischen Umständen [1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 14, 27]. Sie sind mehrheitlich vom papillären Typ, vereinzelt follikulär oder medullär [3, 9, 21, 24, 29].
