Zusammenfassung

Die Osteopetrose, auch Marmorknochenkrankheit genannt, wurde zum ersten Mal 1904 von H. Albers-Schönberg beschrieben (1904). Sie wird in bis zu 5 Untergruppen mit unterschiedlichen Schweregraden und Vererbungsmodi eingeteilt (Buyse 1990) (Tab. 1). Es ist nicht geklärt, ob allen fünf Untergruppen ein einheitlicher Pathomechanismus zugrunde liegt. Deshalb lassen sich auch Therapieerfolge der einzelnen Gruppen nur schwer miteinander vergleichen.
