Summary
In our animal trial we proved a plug technique to close an experimentally induced lesion in the antral prepyloric stomach wall laparoscopically. In all animals (18 minipigs, 20 kg) we observed secure closure and a strong scar tissue within mucosal and serosal layers. Conclusion: The plug technique is a simple and secure method to repair lesions in the antral stomach wall laparoscopically.
