MIC im Kindesalter

Summary

MIC in infancy and childhood is performed at our department since 1978 (laparotomy) and 1981 (thoracoscopy). The indications for laparoscopy are: Interventions at the inner genitalia, at the peritoneum, stomach, bowel, bile ducts, liver, spleen, in cryptorchidism, varicocele, hiatal hernia, and pancreatitis. Indications for thoracoscopy are: fistulae, cysts, metastases, pleurodesis, empyema, interventions at the pericardium, the thoracic duct, vagal nerve, and the sympathic trunc. Age, size and maturity of the children do not restrict indications. The youngest child undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy was 7 months of age, the youngest child with thoracoscopic resection of a lung cyst 1 day old. The smallest child had a weight of 1250 grams. With an experienced surgeon MIC represents a valuable expansion of therapeutic options.

Zusammenfassung

Wir führen die MIC beim Säugling und Kind in Form der Laparoskopie seit 1978 und in Form der Thorakoskopie seit 1981 durch. Indikationen im Bauchraum sind: Eingriffe am inneren Genitale, Peritoneum, Magen, Darm, Gallenwegen, Leber, Milz, beim Kryptorchismus, bei der Varikozele, Hiatushernie und bei der Pankreatitis. Indikationen an den Thoraxorganen sind: Fisteln, Zysten, Metastasen, Pleurodese, Empyem, Eingriffe an Pericard, D. thoracicus, N. vagus und Sympathicus. Die Größe, das Alter und die Reife der Kinder schränken die Indikationen nicht ein. Das jüngste Kind zur laparoskopischen Cholezystektomie war 7 Monate, das zur thorakoskopischen Resektion einer Lungenzyste 1 Tag alt. Das kleinste Kind wog 1250 Gramm. Die MIC ist in den Händen erfahrener Chirurgen eine wertvolle Ergänzung der therapeutischen Möglichkeiten.
