Indikation zur Amputation bei kritischer Beinischämie

Summary

The term “critical ischemia” encloses stage III and IV of obstructive vessel disease. Without vessel reconstruction or conservative therapy, critical ischemia is a indication to amputate the leg. In the surgical department of the hospital in Singen 593 patients with critical ischemia were treated between 1987 and 1992. Major amputations had to be performed in 15% of these cases either at admission (n = 89) or during the course of the disease (n = 99). Amputation could be avoided or the level of amputation was reduced via surgical intervention (n = 428 vesseloperations).

Zusammenfassung

Der Begriff „kritische Ischämie“ umfaßt die Stadien III und IV der AVK und stellt, ohne gefäßrekonstruktive oder konservative Therapie, die Indikation zur Amputation. An der Chirurgischen Klinik Singen wurden von 1987 bis 1992 insgesamt 593 Patienten mit kritischer Ischämie behandelt. 15 % der Patienten (n = 89) mußten sich primär oder sekundär einer Majoramputation (n = 99) unterziehen. Durch konsequente gefäßchirurgische Intervention (428 Eingriffe) konnte das Amputationsniveau gesenkt, bzw. die Amputation vermieden werden.
