Zusammenfassung

Die totale Gastrektomie führt gewöhnlich zu einer Beeinträchtigung der Ernäh-rungssituation des Patienten. Diesem Mangelzustand kann eine Malassimilation von Nährstoffen zugrunde liegen. Ursachen für eine Störung der insbesondere für die Protein- und Fettresorption entscheidenden intraluminalen Verdauungsvorgänge sind eine ungenügende Anreicherung der Ingesta mit Verdauungssekreten, eine verkürzte Verweildauer des Speisebreies im Intestinum und eine bakterielle Fehl- oder Überbe-siedlung des Darms [1].
